Gary S. Lehr, MD, FACS

Dr. Lehr is a board-certified General Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He graduated magna cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, New York, in 1984.  He then attended medical school at the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine, where he graduated with distinction in 1988.  Dr. Lehr went on to complete his five-year General Surgery Residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In over 30 years of private practice, Dr. Lehr has performed thousands of operations covering a full range of general surgical procedures, including surgery of the gastrointestinal tract, hernias, colorectal surgery, breast procedures and more.

Dr. Lehr is very involved in medical staff leadership, having served two terms as Chief of Staff at Broward Health North as well as serving as Chairman and a member of numerous hospital committees. Since July of 2020, Dr. Lehr has been the site director at Broward Health North for the Broward Health General Surgery Residency Program, and has been teaching residents and medical students for over a decade.
